There’s a car seat safety check event happening later this week in Springfield.
HSHS St. John’s Hospital is hosting the event on Saturday, September 14, in the parking lot of its Women’s and Children’s Center.
Certified child passenger safety technicians will work with parents and guardians to ensure their child’s seat is installed correctly and answer any questions.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In Illinois, it’s estimated that 80% of car seats are not installed correctly.
