Books on the Square – located at 427 East Washington Street in Springfield – will host author Kevin Corley on Wednesday, September 25th at 1 p.m. Corley will discuss and sign his newest book, “The American Boys.”
The book is based partly on the story of Bryan Bolton, who grew up in Thayer, Illinois, just south of Springfield.
Bolton handled bootleg liquor for Al Capone and was later assigned to the hitman team for the famous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.
The event is free and open to the public.
