Lincoln Land Community College’s Department of English and Humanities will host Lit Fest, a series of live author readings, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and a vendor fair, Sept. 25-Oct. 3.
Lit Fest is being held to recognize Banned Books Week, Sept. 22-28, 2024, and October’s National Book Month.
Lit Fest kicks off with a read-aloud event called “Well, I’ll Be Banned,” on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from noon-2 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons.
Volunteers will read passages of banned books to showcase the power of literature to inspire, challenge and unite us.
