The Looking for Lincoln Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area will unveil its new traveling exhibit: Journey to Freedom: Illinois’ Underground Railroad this Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Lincoln Public Library located at 326
South 7th Street in downtown Springfield.
The event will include a brief program featuring Sarah Watson, executive director of Looking for Lincoln, Sen.
Doris Turner, Springfield Mayor Misty Buscher, and Brian Mitchell, advisory committee member.
Many local leaders and guests will also be in attendance.
After this event, the exhibit will be available and open to the public during regular business hours at Springfield’s Lincoln Public Library’s Lobby until November 30, 2024.
